Intensive Courses

Five Intensive Courses (ICs) have planned to take place during the iPEN project. All the ICs will take place in Europe except the 1st one that has planned to take place in Weizmann Institute of Science. The main objectives of the planned ICs are: (a) to provide training to our students & academics in fields that cannot be found in transitional curricula; (b) help the Europeans and Israelis to realise the Israeli and European educational systems respectively; (c) to encourage the further collaboration between Europe and Israel. The venue, the date, the duration of the planned ICs follow:

 

1st IC October 2018, in Weizmann (Rehovot, Israel)

Date: 24 – 25th of October 2018

Topic: Modern Educational – Teaching Techniques, Development of Soft Skills, ICT tools in Higher Education

Duration: Two days – 16 hours of activities in total (8 hours per day)

Targeted number of participants: > 50 (students and academics)

Venue: Weizmann Institute of Science

2nd IC April 2019, in POLIMI (Milano, Italy)

Date: April 2019

Topic: Laser Technology, Laser Safety., Laser Spectroscopy, Soft Skills Development , Teaching Techniques – Evaluation Tips

Duration: Two days – 16 hours of activities in total (8 hours per day)

Targeted number of participants: > 50 (students and academics)

Awarded ECTS: 3.0

3rd IC October 2019, in FAU (Erlangen, Germany)

Date: October 2019

Topic: Laser Technology, Laser Sintering, Laser Patterning, AFM/SEM/XRD/IR imaging techniques, Soft Skills Development , Teaching Techniques – Evaluation Tips

Duration: Three days – 24 hours of activities in total (8 hours per day)

Targeted number of participants: > 50 (students and academics)

4th IC April 2020, in Twente (Enschede, Netherlands)

Date: April 2020

Topic: NanoPhotonic Devices, Non Linera Imaging Techniques, Plasmonic Devices, Soft Skills Development , Teaching Techniques – Evaluation Tips

Duration: Three days – 24 hours of activities in total (8 hours per day)

Targeted number of participants: > 50 (students and academics)

5th IC, October 2020, in TEIoC (Chania, Crete, Greece)

Date: October 2020

Topic: Laser Sources, Laser Doping, Laser Functionalization, Soft Skills Development , Teaching Techniques – Evaluation Tips

Duration: Four days – 24 hours of activities in total (8 hours per day) & symposium for academics

Targeted number of participants: > 50 (students and academics)

Awarded ECTS: 3.5
