In this section new actions that will foster the collaboration of the partners beyond this project will be found. Also actions and new projects that will contribute to the sustainability of the iPEN projects objectives will be uploaded in this page.

  1. Oct. 28th of 2017 Erasmus Plus: New Capacity Building Call for Higher Education is now open for 2018
  2. Oct. 28th of 2017: Conference in NanoBio in September 2018 in Heraklion Crete ; a proposal iPEN to organize the 3rd Greek – Israeli Scientific Collaboration Session as a parallel session of this conference
  3. On the 11th of November 2017 the Grant Agreement sent to the coordinator from the Agency (EACEA)
  4. On the 20th of November 2017 the Grant Agreement was signed by TEI of Crete legal representative and posted back to the EACEA
  5. On the 5th of December, 2017, the 1st installation of the grant has been deposited into the coordinator Institute, €458.588,00
  6. On the 20th of December, 2017, has started the bureaucracy required to transfer the funds from the coordinator to the partners
  7. On the 21st of December, 2017, the kick off meeting minutes have emailed to the partners
  8. The officer of the project is Mrs Cabe Roisin ( Only the coordinator is contacted her for any issue regarding the iPEN project
  9. On the 29th and 30th of January 2018, Dr Petridis and Dr Yossi Taylosef from BIU participated in the kick off meeting of CBHE projects awarded in 2017. The meeting took place in Brussels, Belgium
  10. On the 2nd of March 2018, the transfer of funds regarding the 1st installment has been completed (with an exception with TECHNION)
  11. On the 7th of March all the surveys regarding the deliverables of WP1 have been launched. More than 650 academics, students, private companies staff have replied to them. The surveys will be terminated on the 20th of April 2018
  12. The next meeting will take place on HIT from the 29th and 30th of April 2018. The Israeli National Agency will pay a monitoring visit during this meeting on the 30th of April
  13. During the HIT meeting the external evaluator will be presented. A Skype teleconference on Monday the 30th of April will be implemented during which the external evaluator will demonstrate its experience in the Erasmus Project and its plan how to evaluate the projects’ outcomes. The proposed external evaluator by the coordinator will be EVM – Dr Ricardo Tavio
  14. During the 2nd day of the progress meeting in HIT, the Israeli National Agency will pay a monitoring visit and will discuss with the consortium partners about projects’ development and collaboration until this moment
  15. On the 25th of April 2018 the iPEN MOODLE platform is ready to be used:
  16. On the 30th of April 2018 and after the end of the HIT meeting the consortium has decided the list of the modules to be developed and by which partner. The final decision was based on (a) the findings from the surveys implemented (WP1); (b) on the photonics market needs; and (c) on the expertise the consortium demonstrates

  20. What a great news!!! The Nobel Prize in Physics for 2018 has been awarded to scientists that made a breakthrough work in Laser Physics – please click here. This shows the tremendous impact of Photonics in Science and reflects the important role iPEN project can play in the development of new innovators in Science!!! Keep going iPEN!!!
  21. On the 26th of November 2018 the iPEN coordinator is invited to present the project objectives & outputs during a Quality Assurance Event organized by the Israeli National Agency. To view the program please click here
  22. On the 22nd of July 2019, the second installment for the iPEN project has been submitted to the coordinator’s Institution account. Based on the change rate of this date all the conversion from shekel to euro should be advised for the rest period until the end of the project
